Paris Weekend

For our two year anniversary last month, we made plans to go to Paris for the weekend, but the car had a different idea. So we got the car all fixed up and a couple weeks later planned the Paris weekend for Easter weekend. The drive is only four hours from our house (how lucky are we?) so we left early Friday morning and had almost all day to explore once we got there.

We checked in at our hotel and went right back outside to see the sites. After a bit of difficulty figuring out the metro, we were on our way. Here's how our trip went...

We didn't go inside because the line was so long (which happened to be the case at all of the sites).

The Lock Bridge. On our way back to the hotel, we came across this bridge that's covered in locks. I would have brought a lock with me to add to the bridge if I would have known we'd see this. Very cool.

This one I saw and thought was interesting. "A Canadian girl and an American boy fell in love. This is only the beginning." I'm sure a lot of them have great stories to tell, but it was getting cold and we still had a pretty good walk to get back.

My New Toy - iPhone Photo Printer

This is the new toy I got for my birthday from my mom. It's an iPhone photo printer and it's so cool, I decided to take some photos of it in action!

It was so easy to use. I just downloaded the 'Photo Cube' app that goes with it and I was ready to print!

Once in the app, you can go to your albums or take a new photo to print.

Once the photo is picked, you can print 1 4x6 or multiples in smaller sizes. This particular photo is one my mom took, not an iPhone pic.

And now my favorite part is watching it print. It prints each color (CMYK) separately taking the paper in and out for each pass, which, for me, is way fun to see.

Voilà! Completed!

And here it is framed on my shelf.

Thanks, mom for my gift. I love it! On to new projects.

Weekend in Munich

This weekend we made a quick trip over to Munich! We originally had other plans, but I found out that there was going to be an International Motorcycle show there and then shared that information with Jeff and we instantly had new plans. But I didn't mind. It gave us an excuse to visit a big city that we haven't been to yet.

The drive there was pretty rough. The GPS said it would take five hours, which was not so great to start, but then we hit lots of traffic, and that definitely made it a lot worse. I kept us busy, though, with readings from Redbook and MS Living!

We didn't get there until about four in the afternoon, so we decided to go to the hotel first and explore around and then do the moto show (IMOT) on Sunday.

This was our little room with separate twin beds. It seems a lot of hotel rooms here have the beds like this.

This was the elevator. You can get an idea of how small it is when you look at the little floor space he's standing in. The two of us plus our two bags was a cramped fit.

We went to downtown Munich on Saturday night and found a Hard Rock Cafe to have dinner (which was delicious!). After that we explored around, but it got dark too quick to take any good photos.

Annndd here are the photos of the show. It definitely was Jeff's thing, but I can say I was quite entertained watching everyone and looking at all the shiny bikes. I can't describe any of the bikes besides by color, so I'll just stay quiet and post some of the photos we took.

Happy Valentine's Day from J+B

We don't really get into Valentine's Day too much, but we love loving each other, so happy love day from us!
